Question by srgurl55: Where can I find some domestic abuse legal advice on the net? like a forum? I NEED HELP!
?
to make a long story short my oldest brother’s fiance & me don’t get along and she knows my nephew is my life so she has purposely hid him from me when i have come to visit ( i live in a different state) for 5 months!!!! so i got tired of it and told my brother (who we got along GREAT together even though he knew i hated his girl) that i was coming over to the house (he still lives with my dad at 28) to see him when my bro got off work. well she kept smarting off to me and my nephew was clearly nervous, and told me he didn’t want her to hear him say he loved me!!!! THAT KILLED ME! my brother told me to leave. i told her to leave so that i could spend 10 minutes with my nephew and she lunged at me as to make me flinch. well thats all i needed. i flew at her and hit her (btw she weighs like 280 and my bro is 170 totally toned and sculpted.) she rolled over on top of me and yelled at my brother “COME GET HER!!!” he told her to get off of me then he picked me up threw me into the hallway wall so hard the pictures fell off the wall, then i turned around to her smiling at me, then he put a hand on my head a hand on my left shoulder blade tripped my legs angs threw me on the ground so hard i broke my wrist in 3 places an fractured it on the other side. plus internal brised my cheek bone and sprang my shoulder and elbow.
all because i wanted to see my nephew. btw i also have a neice that is older she is 7. there is so much back story i wuld be here all day typing with one hand. ive known this girl forever she used to be a close friend. i cry all the time over this. this girl has totally ruined my family.

It is not a good idea to get legal advice over the Internet – the field of Law is too complex for that.
Call your local (usually county) bar association. Ask them for names of attorneys that handle custody issues (also known as family law sometimes). Also ask for the phone number for the local LegalAid office.
When you call the law office(s), insist on speaking with the Lawyer. Do not tell all the little details of your matter to the Secretary – save the details for the Attorney. When you finally get the Lawyer on the phone line, ask him/her:
- Do they give FREE, initial consultations?
- How much do they charge?
- Do they accept payments on their accounts?
- Can they help you? OR Refer you to someone who can help you?
Good luck.
